Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
