I will dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
